Yet today a Justice Department investigation revealed that whistleblower Sibel Edmonds was fired in part because of her allegations of mismanagement. Acting FBI Director Mueller thinks this is a non-issue. Her allegations about incompetence and malfeasance by FBI translators are incredibly important.
Senator Orrin Hatch has aided the poor treatment of Edmonds. Her case is a text-book example of politically motivated abuse of classification powers. Ashcroft retroactively classified all information about the Edmonds case, including common public knowledge.
